Off Course Charters offers some of the best private inshore and backcountry charter fishing trips in Key Largo, Florida. The Mangrove Islands around Key Largo is home to a wide variety of sport fish like Snook, Redfish, Tarpon any many more! So, if deep sea fishing and getting seasick is not your thing, then let Captain Henry take you on a fishing trip in the shallow waters of the Florida Bay and Everglades National Park.
Inshore fishing is suited for all ages including kids, but many professional fishermen prefer the backcountry because you typically fish with lighter tackle and you will be much more involved in the fishing process as well. Backcountry and inshore fishing is more hands-on which makes it much more exciting when you hook that big fish yourself! The scenery in the backcountry is also spectacular and many times we see manatees, crocodiles, egrets, dolphins, sharks and even pink flamingos (in the winter).
When you book a key largo fishing charter trip with Off Course Charters, you will have the entire boat to yourself. I do NOT allow for shared or split charters as most people prefer to enjoy the fishing experience alone, or with family and friends. Charter fishing prices are also tailored in such a way that the solo angler pay a little less.

Inshore fishing is saltwater fishing close to the coast, typically in shallower, calmer waters like bays, estuaries, and flats, generally closer to shore and in depths under 10 feet (you won't get seasick here :) It's characterized by using lighter tackle and smaller boats, targeting species like redfish, snook, snapper and trout, making it more accessible and beginner-friendly than deep-sea offshore fishing. However, inshore fishing can also be more technical and hands-on and requires much more casting than offshore fishing. Captain Henry ONLY does inshore fishing trips.
Offshore fishing is also saltwater fishing but, it is done in much deeper waters off the coast. Offshore fishing requires bigger boats and heavier tackle. The fish species people typically target on offshore trips are Mahi, Tuna, Snapper, Wahoo and so on. Because of the deeper water and distance from shore, many people tend to get seasick on offshore trips.
